my sony x8 gets hot, why ?

I uses my sony x8 as modem to surf internet on my lap top,but when surf in excess of an hour and half ,it gets hot , why ? will it harm my phone or battery , should i stop using it ?

Using the battery and radios will cause the phone to heat up. If it were to get hot enough it could potentially hurt the phone but the phone has checks in it that once the internal temp gets past a certian point it will shut down. The biggest issue you will see with phones getting too hot is causing the battery life to become shorter, you can usually buy a spare battery off amazon for cheap however.
