My teaching secret: Android tablets!

School year is almost over and it was the toughest ever: tough classes, overtime (no extra pay!), terrible working conditions.

And yet, I think I did a good job and I'm proud. :)

I could never have done it without my secret weapon: nine Android tablets I bought early this year.

It was a huge investment but it was money well spent and I bless the day I bought them.

The benefits of these tablets are countless, e.g. huge savings on paper and space, more diversity, more versatility. more fun. And the kids' behavior in class has improved dramatically: they love these tablets and are totally focused on their work. I teach kids from the local slums and had ZERO discipline problems this year!

Just this week, the subject was taxes and we used a VAT simulador and an IRS calculator. They totally got it!

We also used MemeMe for making memes, Fast Notepad for writing, Adobe Reader for reading pdf files, a CV maker, a tourism app called WalkMe and MXVideo for watching v

One of the reasons why these tablets worked so well was compatibility. I can easily connect these tablets to my PC via USB and transfer all types of files, no internet connection is required. I'm not sure I can do that with my iPad, it seems you can only copy images via USB.
