Root myTouch 4G Slide & Macbook Root

I have a myTouch 4G Slide and have been trying to root it but problem is that I have a MacBook. Any method I have tried only works for Windows operating system. Can anyone help? Im driving myself crazy! Thanks
 
I think that you can do it on a mac. I'm not 100% sure on that, I'm just on lunch right now so after I get off work I can look around more and see if I can figure it out. If it can't be done then if you could get access to a win computer you would just need to use it that one time to root and then after that you would be good to go.
