Apps N00b! plz help!

all i get is a blinking "android...", no "Hello, Android". plz help

You may want to check out the thread at http://androidforums.com/android-developers/15422-slow-buggy-emulator.html. The "Hello, Android" walkthrough has you create an emulator with version 1.5, and if you are using the 2.0 SDK to build your app this may cause problems.
