I was watching the video on htc.com and they had an app on their presentation that looked like a widget on the desktop that allowed you to scroll through contacts. I'm new to the Eris/Andriod but can't figure out what that app is.
It might have been part of their Sense UI skin for the HTC Hero. You'd have to find out from HTC or your carrier if they will release Sense UI for the Eris.
