Native mail app missing folder structure

Hi all,

I've scoured the net on this and can't find any posts that are even remotely new.

I've started using the native mail app (HTC One M8, Android 6.0) and loaded in my hotmail account.

The only folders I can select are inbox, sent and trash but the entire folder structure is missing.

I've been through every menu item, I've tapped the little folder icon, etc. and it doesn't seem to appear. Email are syncing correctly though int he main inbox folder.

Any thoughts?

You should have a manage folders option, then it should show you all of your folders. Sync each folder that you need to keep up with. This also depends on the mail app, each has different options. I use Inbox by Google, never an issue

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.

Is the account setup as POP?

On my M9, if I use the 'Auto' setup for a Hotmail account it creates a POP account which won't sync all folders.

To create an IMAP account, which syncs all folders, I have used manual setup with the following settings :-

Incoming (IMAP) Server
Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
Security: SSL
Port: 993

Outgoing (SMTP) Server
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Login required: Yes
Security: TLS
Port: 25
