Root Native WiFi Enabling

I have a Galaxy S5 rooted but have been using foxfi for wifi tethering since the old wifi tether app I was using on my rezound does not work on the S5. Now foxfi has stopped working also and I read somewhere that if your phone is rooted you can somehow activate the native wifi hotspot on the phone but cant find any info on how to do that. Does anybody here know or can link me to somewhere that has the info? Thanks.

I am also interested in this method but need to root my phone first [hopefully still possible for me running sm900v on 5.0]. Have you ever used open garden wifi tether app or no? I was hoping that that app would be an option once rooted. Good luck in advance!

If your VZW phone is running 5.0 you are screwed. VZW and AT&T have locked down the firmware, ROOT is now impossible.
Maybe someone will figure a way around it, but for now, no.
