NAV Customized

There are a few customized options on my Mazda NB1 Nav. It's a TomTom unit. First is someone made Google Maps skin which is easy on the eyes and I also found a Punisher icon which replaces the standard arrow. 😎

When you take out the SD card from the unit and place it in the reader the TomTom app opens. From there quite a few choices can be made for customizing map skins, icons, sounds, etc. 😀

Ah. See, mine doesn't have an SD card. I looked it up, and there's not much to be done for mine besides buying exorbitantly priced updates. May just look into getting a Nexus 7 and mount for GPS...

About the only customization I can do on mine (that I know of, at least) is to replace the start-up image.

Now my car boots up the LCARS when I turn it on

Actually I got 2 free map updates after I bought the CX-5, suppose to get 1. The TomTom program offered me $40 CDN for 18 months which will include 6 updates, live traffic and speed camera alerts. Cheaper than a burnt cup of Starbucks coffee 😉
