Is there a reference to the icons on the right side of navigation bar.
I have an " H with two arrows, one point down and the other up"
If I understand what you are referring to correctly - that's high speed cell data transfer icon.

That means you are using your carrier's high speed data, HDSPA (I believe.) A faster version of 3G, or incorrectly referred to as 4G in the U.S.
