Hi
I have found NAVMII an excellent navigation app, and in some ways superior to Google Maps. For example, all street data (for as many countries as you want!) are held on your phone and there is consequently no need to have a data connection to use it, although GPS is needed.
However, I have found a slightly worrying problem and wonder if others have experienced the same thing.
Having used the app and then turned it off, I still find apparent records of the app continuing to use battery power as shown in the Android battery monitor (the one pre-installed on the phone).
For example, the last time I used NAVMII was three days ago. After use, I turned it off and cancelled the navigation instructions I had set. Since then, however, I have noticed in the battery monitor that it is still apparently accounting for a large proportion (currently 57%) of battery use despite not having been used for three days and, in addition, the battery having been fully re-charged twice in the interim.
Is this a known fault or 'characteristic' of the app, or just a vagary of the battery monitoring app?
