OK, so I just read that New Every 2 is going away Monday, and really curious on everyone's opinion of the following:

I'm a GNex owner, and use my phone A LOT. At this point, during a typical day, my (extended) battery rarely gets me through more than 4-5 hours. Since I am on the road, and in and out of my car frequently (Realtor), not even a car dock really helps all that much. Love my GNex, but it is really slowing down. I am rooted, running Shiny, and I think it's time for a fresh install from factory.

SO, I still have a $50 credit on one of my lines. Do I use it, and get the RAZR Maxx HD, or maybe the S3 (although I don't know that that will help my battery issues)?

Would I lose my unlimited data?

Essentially this would really just be to not "lose" $50, and see what happens at I/O. The X Phone (if it even comes then), is really what I'm waiting for.

What would you do? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just remember that using it will lock you into a new contract, and if the line has unlimited, using that lines upgrade will cause you to lose it.

My upgrades across all three lines occur just about every 3-4 months, and we average a combined 5GB worth of data per month. The 6GB share plan would allow us a buffer, and the total monthly bill would be a couple bucks less than we're currently paying.

However, there is no way to swindle Verizon into letting you keep unlimited anymore?

Only way seems to be to open a new line, or use a upgrade on a different line and transfer it. Even then, some reps will tell you that they can't do it or flat out won't do it. But there are numerous people who have done that and succeeded.
