Just upgraded my secondary line 30+ days ago.
If I were to upgrade my primary line with one of the Buy One Get One Free smartphones - would that still apply?

From what I've heard from VZW reps & users, the second phone is not available as an upgrade, only for new lines. Secondary lines can only get 2 year contract pricing (not even NE2) because when they subsidize a new phone they can recover the cost through the primary lines 2 year contract. Since secondary lines are only $9.99, they wouldn't be able to recover the cost in the 2 year contract period.

To qualify for the Buy One Get One offers, you have to have 2 lines eligible for an upgrade or you can do a Buy One Get One over time if it is within 30 days of the Buy offer. After 30 days the over time option is not available
