Need 5ghz wifi on Android x86

I have a Windows 10 Nuvision tablet that I replaced Windows with Android x86. My question, how can I get 5ghz wifi working? I have a Wavlink dual band ac adapter for it but I can't find any drivers for the Android. Any help will be appreciated. I don't know if this is enough info.

The manufacturer apparently only supports MacOS and Windows.

I'm not a dev of course, but as Android uses a Linux kernel, and so any drivers would come from the Android-x86 or Linux dev community, and you might have to build it yourself.
