Need a good EMAIL app!!!!

Ever since I got my Nexus S I've been looking constantly for one good app - an Email app. I have a Hotmail account.

All I want is an email app that is accurate (no glitches), and READS OFFLINE & DOWNLOADS ATTACHMENTS OFFLINE!!!

I've stuck to Maildroid for a long time, they had the capability to read as well as download attachments offline, and they got rid of this in their last update.

I've downloaded MS's new Hotmail app, but it's the same as MailDroid - no offline attachment download.

Are there really any good email apps that would give me complete offline capability (preload everything) as well as an elegant and glitch-free interface?

Did you email maildroid's dev? He is very responsive.
It is possible he changed the way you accomplish that - a setting in a different place.

Maybe I'm missing something, but you cannot download anything while offline. Are you talking about viewing an attachment while offline? It seems like Maildroid was automatically downloading your attachments while you were on a network and then storing them for later viewing.

Have you read the specs on ENHANCED EMAIL

You can get a free trial version of the app from the developer's web site..but check it out. It may have all or other features you dont get with stock email like "select all" and mass delete, etc.

Yes; exactly. It downloaded and stored them for later viewing automatically. I want that in an email app.

I used for a long time K9. Switched to Kaiten Mail, which is done by the leading developer of K9, to support the developer. Excellent application.

Thank ya!! I tried it, and it works! I can download attachments offline.
Just a question - does it preload the attachment to my SD card or on their server/the app itself?

Also, the only thing EE is probably missing is Push.

Glad it works! One of the big plus' Ive noticed is how I can do a batch select, and batch deletes.

I donno about the push. I just set each of my five email accounts to check every 5 minutes and to delete from servr when I delete from my device. Ive even loaded the google emails through this interfacing. You will find that you will now unhide "hidden" folders like Sent, Draft, Out, Trash.

I will look at the settings and see if it has a save to sdcard option. I used the free version for several months then decided to purchase the full bersion.

I cant remember if the full came with any added options. Will check.

I am actually using an APK, so full version for free. It was bugging a little earlier on, I was marking everything as read, then it keeps notifying me every 1 min for new email and shows me all unread. Guess I'll wait..

Youll have to go into the notificatiln settings or global settings if you set multiple accounts up. Not sure which version is free, but newer updates may be available when u purch from the market.

I remember seeing "new messages" on my first install but cant recall how I cleared it.. It "may" have been when I set up the option to delete from server.
