need a lil help

So this has happened a couple times and last time I erased all my music. I'm using a Galaxy Note the first north American one not the second one. I'm using 4.0.4.

It seems all my music files have doubled and only one will play. So if I'm listening it plays one song then stops. I have to manually skip to the next song.

Does anyone know how to fix this!!??! I would really appreciate it !

turn on shuffle? that way it won't play the songs in order

so instead of your playlist being..

Song1A
Song1B
Song2A
Song2B

etc..

It'll be

Song1A
Song45B
Song62A

etc..

not sure what else to try! lol

Well I screwed around with it a bit and found that other music players work...... so it seems to be the stock music player that is causing the issue. I can just use another player but I would still like to know how to fix it. The last time I did this I lost over 400 songs when I tried to go in and erase the nonworking doubles.

So I'll leave out there if anyone can help I'm all ears!

Do you have the music on both your SD card and your Google Music account?

If that's the case, is it possible its doubled up because its reading off your SD card and also from streaming? Do you have it set to "All Music" or "On Device"? Just a thought.

Ok so I looked. I don't see a setting for streaming. But when I looked under recently added there were no doubles so we are getting warmer.

I'll look some more when I'm home.

Thanks!

Glad its working now. It doesn't say "streaming", its "all music". If you have anything in your Google Music account, but not on your device, it uses 4G/Wifi to play it. Its not supposed to double up anything already on your device but I thought maybe it was a glitch or something.
