Need a reccomendation for Android configuration software

Hello!
I need to deploy a bunch of android devices and need a recommendation for some android configuration software that would work with Android 6+. Both open source and commercial solutions are welcome, though in all honesty, I'm looking for something on the cheaper side. MDMs are also fine, if they include a configuration module.

Briefly, I'll need to:

Install a bunch of apps
Configure user accounts
Configure device options
(Optionally) Remove unneeded default apps

Doing it manually will take an eternity so I need a solution that will automate the process.

Thanks for the reply, I did actually come across that thread earlier, but unfortunately didn't find what I was looking for.
