I think the answer to my problem is probably some sort of app, so that's why I'm putting my question here. I'm thinking what I want to do might well be impossible, but I figured it can't hurt to ask.
I head up a public safety agency where I need to get emergency text messages our dispatch center sends out. That's all well and good during the day, but at night time I set my phone (Android Pro) to silent so I don't have to listen to constant e-mail and SMS notifications. Unfortunately that also silences any emergency SMS messages from our dispatch center. The added issue is that the dispatch center SMS messages never come from the same phone number. The prefix is the same (like 555), but the last 4 digits vary between a bank of about 20 numbers they have.
Anyone know of an app that would allow me to set up a ringer profile where this one number (or series of numbers if I need to) can get through my silence setting?
