Need alternative to Inbox app

Silvarro

Newbie
I was so pissed when I read that Google was gonna kill off Inbox, which I have been using since day 1. I loved how my mails were organized and seeing that app go filled my heart with sadness and anger. I'm now using the Gmail app which looks simply dreadful. It looks like hurricane Florence passed right through it! So much clutter and I simply can't see the forest through the trees because it's just one long list of mails. So does anyone know an alternative mail app that does roughly the same as Inbox? I'm talking about how the mails were organized; today, yesterday, last week, last month etc. I loved that and I simply can't go without this anymore. It doesn't matter if it's IMAP or POP3 as long as the mail is sorted the same way as in Inbox.

Aqua mail has settings so you can customize your emails by date, in a list view.

It's the problem with relying on Google, especially their new or experimental projects. They really do tend to try something out for a year or two and then drop it.

That I noticed but dropping Inbox was about the most stupid decision they have made so far. Inbox is superior to Gmail in every single way imaginable and they expect us to go back to crappy old Gmail. Of course it's still 6 months from now but something tells me that Gmail will not undergo much change to cater to the Inbox users. Gmail hasn't changed very much in the 8 years it's been in the Play Store so that's why I don't have any expectations.

To be fair though, you get a very different experience of Gmail on the desktop, compared to the mobile version, which I agree isn't that great.

It's all in the settings using Gmail that you would have to customize from your computer. Spent a little more time with Gmail on your PC, it's just trial and error until you get it right.
