Need Android BROWSER app that does nothing to tie it to pop-up and neutralize it.

Need specifically an app that registers as a BROWSER on Android but does nothing, to tell the pop-up to always open in that, because I've got the app that does nothing but I can't tie the pop-up to it because it doesn't appear in options

Basically as a result I want the pop-up to try and open in the BROWSER app that does nothing meaning no more pop-ups as a result.

I've tried everything else to remove the pop-up and I can't factory reset because I got too many things on the smartphone. I've had this pop-up for over half a year... HEEELP! =]

This is an add that starts from the system and calls for a browser. Produces either a pop-up for a browser, or opens a browser. Therefore with a do nothing browser I can block the add, not with an add blocker

If you do it your way you will not be disabling or stopping the ad.... These ads have nothing to do with what browser you have installed. You only need an ad blocker that stops the ads from popping up, get it?

Sounds like you want a DUMMY app that activates with BROWSER? Quite frankly I don't think there is such a thing.

Perhaps you want to think about backing all those "many things", whatever they are, just in-case something does happen to the smartphone?

You don't need a backup - Until you REALLY need it. Backup everything on your phone that you don't want to lose (Photos/videos/music/e-books/passwords and anything else. then do a factory data reset and reinstall the apps that you really need.

If it is an ad from a built in app, then you could possibly disable that app.

Be sure to clear the app data as well.
