Ok... Lets just say my D2 took a swim and I sold my spare.... I would pay decent for an X, or would like a cheap device (Eris, Devour , Ally, D1)....


Please have pics and accept paypal...
 
Ill take a look at Trident.. Your a trusted source for sure... But (good news for me) after an hour or so of low heat blowing through it ( battery cover off, battery and mem card out) it is on and seems to be working... I am now leaning more toward a backup just in case... The water mark X`s are active though on the batt and case... 8(
 
Yeah... I almost got sick when i watched it fall... It was submersed totally for 4-5 seconds (they sink like a rock)... I did have the OEM holster case so it may have helped... havent attempted a call on it yet to test speakers and mic...
 
Yea my contract is up at the beginning of Feb and I don't know if I am staying with them. And if I for some reason do I have an upgrade anyways. I like the phone. A lot but VZW has been getting under my skin lately.
 
Outlaw... probably too late now, but you may want to disconnect all power and soak it in pure distilled water before drying. Even better is high purity electrical cleaner. Without the wash, your D2 will have a premature death from corrosion.

Well, umm... Thx for the encouragement??.. Anyway, Im hoping its good for a bit since it didnt get wet long and the case may have helped...Hopefully it will give me time to find and save for another X....
 
I have a like new X. Its always had a screen protector on it. I have the box and all. It has a nice black back protector that slides into a belt clip. NO SD card, that how i got it. 310 shipped to you. Or if your phone is working ok, ill take your phone and 200. Let me know,i take paypal. I have done 1 transaction here. Interesting offer cheeks, and you already have the case I like...

The R2D2 is working fine and I also have a BB Storm.... Not sure if someone would buy mine with the water mark so I could buy yours, or if I should work the trade....
 
I only meant too late because its already dry and working. Didn't think you want to purposefully dunk it for a swim when its already working.

I was actually more worried about what you said in reference to the premature death thing... I keep waiting for something to happen, but its working just as good as ever....

I literally had the case off, battery cover off, sdcard out and battery stripped within seconds... I then propped it in front of the hair dryer on low heat with keyboard out and kept changing angles... I did this until I could slide the keyboard in and shake and then open back up and not have any moisture.... Once at that point i did it for like 30 more minutes to make sure.... Popped the battery back in and to my surprise it fired right up...
 
I think he means some of the contact points may corrode inside it, and eventually have issues. I dont think anything in the next coupld days or anything will happen, but a S2 I had did the same thing. Dropped it in the snow. Pulled batter and dried it and everything, but about a month or so down the road started having issues where certain things wouldnt work. Convenience key and such.

Since mine is working fine and I have the box, paperwork, original charger, dock and two D2 OEM holster cases would you be able to do any better on trade by chance??
