Help Need battery door for S5

Roguefirm

Lurker
the battery door on my S5 broke away from the little rubber string that held it to the base. Where can I get a new one to install on my S5?

Also, I have any number of charging cords and only one of them works for charging and that only works from a separate backup battery pack. This is the case even with the battery charging cable that came with my S5.

Any ideas on fixing this issue?

The battery door sglhould still hold as it has little clips that hold it in. That little strip just removes its water resistance so dont get it wet. As far as the charging may be a defect. Would take back to phone dealer and get help

I think he means that little strip of material that keeps the battery door tethered while charging.
As for some of your cords not working, I have had that issue with my wife's Ace... some cords work, others don't, regardless of how they are plugged into the wall, be it USB slot or adapter. Weird thing is, for the first week her phone would charge with anything we threw at it, then it became finicky after that.

Do you have any idea where I can buy a replacement battery door that keeps the phone 'waterproof'? The door itself is annoying.

I got a replacement battery door off of EBAY for $9 shipped. Planning on plasti-dipping it, for a more rubberized grip!
Also, wonder if you couldn't put a thin bead of silicon on the existing door, let it cure, and then use that. Once dried and cured, it is soft enough to flatten against the phone, and rigid enough to retain its shape and provide a seal. That is what the current material reminds me of anyhow.
