Need calendar app that works like an alarm clock

I'm in desperate need of a calendar app that actually works properly. On my old phone, I just had everything set and I would get an alarm until I acknowledged it. I can't seem to find anything like this for my android phone. Can someone recommend an app that I can use which is basically set it and forget it. I want something that will notify me similar to how an alarm clock would rather than just a one time notification that I may miss.

Try Astrid its what I use. It can sync to Remember the Milk which is like an online calender/list thing.

Thank you, this works great. As a matter of fact it works almost too good. I almost think there are too many features. I don't think I'll be syncing with Remember the Milk for $25 but I just need reminders for appts, remember to move the car for street sweeping, pay bills on time, etc. This should be great. I'm also going to try Shuffle but I'm thinking that Astrid is just what I needed.

Okay, maybe doesn't do exactly what I need it to do. Is there an a way to set it so that I can have a recurring alarm.. say every 1st Tuesday of the month? I only see occurs every month, week, day, and hour. What about 2x a month (ie payday).

I synced it to remember the milk for free :S. On the website you can make a reminder for every 1st Tuesday i think and should be synced into it. Not sure but having a play around might might be able to do it... not certain thought.

EDIT: Just checked out shuffle too seems pretty decent so its between them two really.
