Need Desperate help!! battery icon

I'm new to modding and rooting android, i didnt do the root on the phone i'm using, but here's my predicament. my friend sent me a rooted and custom ROM'd LG Optimus G E970 phone. idk what the rom is, but i'm running android 4.2.2. i do know that i have full access to the rom. i downloaded ROM Toolbox Pro so that i could change my status bar icons. i changed my battery icon, and then i decided i wanted a different one, so i changed it again. now my battery charge icon has pieces from both icon sets. is there a way i can change all the files in that particular icon folder? or am i just screwed.

Hello and welcome to the forums. I have to say wrong move on battery icons from ROM toolbox pro I have the app and found out it may or may not work . I had a lg esteem didn't work on. If u want to change the icons its simple and may can use the icons from ROM toolbox pro .

thats just it. i already tried changing the icons. many many times. and every time i still have a couple battery icon frames that carry over into the new one.

Yes try to download a app called ninja morph . you can do this with the lite version or get the pro you can do anything.

You need to have all the icons 1-100 and one for full and etc in the package if not it won't work with ninja morph . make a backup before messing and tampering . did you check to see if other roms you may want to change to ..

Also keep the zips that the battery icons make and you may also need a app called

i dont want a different rom. i just want to fix the icons that are available in the rom toolbox app. i dont know how to install a new rom, i dont wanna do something stupid and brick my phone.

Well if you reflash the rom will fix the icon of the battery. But the only other way would be extract the framework app from the ROM download and place in the system folder on the working rom using a file or root explorer.

ok. well how do i reflash the rom without totally wiping all of my contacts, music, and pictures off of it. i've never done it before

The person that gave you the phone near you or did he tell you if he unrooted the device . if not download rootcheck app from the play store and make sure your still rooted and I will guide you

yes. theres a #superuser in my settings. but forget about it. i talked to my friend and he said not to worry about it that i would certainly end up bricking it. i'm just not gonna worry about it. thank you.
