I'm new with Android and trying to find a call blocker which could be used for filtering out telemarketing calls. I see there's many call blockers already available but I'm not sure if any of these will fulfil these specs:
- Uses it's own blacklist; definitely NOT the phonebook, vcard etc.
- Support for wildcards in numbers, like: 02011* etc.
- Support for at least 10000 numbers (or more)
- Simple database format (ascii?) which can be edited outside phone,
- OR possibility to import an ascii-formatted, already available list
- Blocks blacklisted calls with automatic hangup (even before ringtone)
- Log file of blocked calls with timestamps (not mandatory)
I have my own database of Finnish telemarketing numbers already available, containing over 8000 numbers. This is currently in use on my home office ISDN line. Works good and filters out more than 95% of the spam. It would be nice to convert that list for some application which fulfil the specs and if it works ok I could also release the list on my website...
