Need help connecting my G Watch to my Galaxy S4

This is really pissing me off now.

I can't connect my new G Watch to my S4. I think I've tried everything...
Reset both phone and watch
Uninstalled and reinstalled Android Wear
Bluetooth is switched on

On the wear app it just says Emulator connecting. On the watch it says my phone has no internet connection but it does.

The only thing I'm not sure about is that under Bluetooth settings it just says watch is paired, not connected like it would if i was connected to speakers or headphones but I can't figure out a way for it to say "connected".

The reason my Gear 2 won't pair is because of my 4.2.2 Os, 4.3 will work. If I update though,I will lose root and adquire Knox (pretty scary :(stuff). I have tried an external BT plugged into my micro USB, doesn't work. Looking for custom ROMs that are compatible and also use Safestrap can be quite a task. Samsung GS4 should be compatible provided you are not rooted. Rooting the watch won't do any good, as there are no custom ROMs or recoveries for Tizen that I know of. I haven't seen the specific problem that you mentioned on Gear 2 , so I'll will also be anxious to find out what the problem is.

Thanks for replying but I'm not rooted and I'm on os4.4.2 which is the latest version for my phone.

I've tried so many different things and I'm still completely stuck.

All the time just times out on the Bluetooth connection saying my phone isn't connected to the internet. However, I've sent this message on my phone so I obviously am!

So I figured it out.

I was trying to get the watch to connect by Bluetooth before doing anything the app.

It was as simple as pressing "connect new device" from in the app.

I saw some roms on its root page. They have new recoveries and roms there with instructions how to do it.
