Need help- data entry

I'm a teacher of sorts. I'm looking for an app that can organize quotes according to author, book, and/or subject. Maybe something in a rolodex, book, or spreadsheet format. I don't really care how it's laid out, but it would potentially have hundreds of quotes in it. Any ideas?

Google Docs spreadsheet maybe?

I've heard good things about the improvements they've made to the mobile site, though I don't use it myself.

DocsToGo has a spreadsheet application that can do most of the Functions of excel 2007. It can open excel 2007 files too.
