Need Help from an Android Expert

I have an HTC Wildfire running Froyo 2.2.1 (not rooted). I have installed Download Buddy which works well BUT recently, the pop-up window from which Download Buddy would be selected now has the Download Buddy entry showing twice. Does anyone know how I might remove one of them? I have tried uninstalling/re-installing Download Buddy but the problem (unsurprisingly) persists.
 
Try clearing the data and cache from download buddy in manage applications, see if that helps. Also if you haven't restart your phone.
 
If you uninstall it and try to download something does it still appear?

Trying to figure out if it is perhaps installed twice

Tried that.. no go. It is hard to figure how it could be installed twice without overwriting itself, but hey, worth a shot. My guess there is a registration file somewhere that now has a double entry, just cant find it...................
 
I'm not sure, no other ideas come to mind on a non rooted phone short of a factory reset. Have you tried contacting the dev

Will try that next but dev has not responded on the DB blog for a while now.. maybe lost interest.
Maybe I should just use Opera Mini and be done with it :)
