Need help in deleting icons

Hey I own Htc Incredible S, i recently installed few apps but after checking it out I deleted em. Now what i m left is just icons in main menu .. I cant delete em. So need help with it ..

Cheers

WHY can't you delete them? Try to be a bit more specific if you want people to help you.

When i click such icons it says "the linked program is no longer installed on you phone" .. and when i goto Manage Application Menu, cant find any coz i already unistalled em.

I'm interpreting this to mean that you deleted some icons from your home page (which only deletes the icon, NOT the app) and are now wondering why you still have an icon in your app drawer. Apps can be uninstalled from the Market or via Settings/Applications/Manage Applications.
Edited to add: Crossposted - I see that this was not the correct interpretation, sorry. Have you tried rebooting? And by "main menu" do you mean the app drawer?

Tap the icon and hold it, then drag it to the Trashcan.

By Main menu i mean whea you find your all applications. Whenever i uninstall an application, its icon still remains in application menu or u can say application drawer. I m not talking bout homescreen btw ..

It helps to use terms that everyone else uses. As you stated, it's the App Drawer. Menus are what pop up when you hit the menu key.

Sounds like a refresh issue. Have you tried restarting to see if they remain in the App Drawer?
