Need help in developing a wordProcessor in android

hi i want to develop a word Processor in android,
but the problem i am facing is with the edit text in android
it is not supporting for multiple properties like bold ,italic etc for the selected part of the text,
i have used the spanned text but the problem is i am not able to save that spanned text, is their any way to get that spanned text from edit text or
is their any way to build a full featured widget (similar to edit text) to support such sort of the operations.

or is their any possibility to use any open source word Processor directly in the android.

if any one know this please help me.
