Help Need help my emojis are not working!!!

I just got a note 4 and when I try to send a emoji it just comes up as stars (********) or blank. I had a galaxy 3 and people received them fine through my GO keyboard. I have tried to us that app again and it still doesn't work for that either. My husband On his galaxy Avant and dad receive them galaxy 4 and were on the same network T-MOBLE, and my brother gets them through his AT@T on his Note 3. But my friends and family that have i-phones and galaxy 5 do not receive any of my emojis through US Cellular. what can I do?

Could be that the carrier, US Cellular is stripping the emoji encoding from the SMSs, and for T-Mobile and ATT it's going through OK. Emoji being a Japanese invention that came later, and SMS originally wasn't intended to handle it. Regular smileys and emoticons using just punctuation, should go through no problems to anyone and any carrier. iPhones usually have no problem with emoji, and it came standard in Android as of Jellybean 4.3. So I'm thinking it is something that this particular carrier is doing, US Cellular.

Man that stinks! Nothing like having a new phone with features that you can't use! Looks like I will be on a mission to switch my friends provider! Lol
