Hi everybody i was just wondering if I could get some help with my HTC Inspire 4g. What I am tryin to do is ROOT my phone and i have been reading up on alot of stuff on here and XDA and just about everywhere for the last week or so and finally came to the conclusion that I am ready to make the leap of faith, but still have concerns.. 1) do I need ubuntu to do an advanced ace hack kit root, or not? some say yes alot say no i dont know and 2) can i do it just using a USB drive due to i dont have any blank dvds available at the moment? please reply soon i am gettin anxious... thanks in advance to all who will help me..

The best people to help with regards to rooting are other members who have the same device. If you head to HTC Inspire 4G - Android Forums - there is an "All Things Root" sub-section, which should have guides on how to, etc.
If you need any more help, either ask in the inspire sub-forums, or hit one of us Guides up by PM!
