Need help, should I get the Milestone or something else?

Hi all,
Have just registered on this forum.
I have been thinking about purchasing the Milestone until today when I read different posts and also that their bootloader is locked I became hessetating.
I want a phone with a physical qwerty keyboard.
Any tips or is the motorola bootloader unlocked by now?
Any help would really be apreciated, many thanks!
 
I got the Milestone when it came out in Canada and I wouldn't recommend to anyone else. There are so many bugs like random music, random reboots, home screen disappears.... it could go on and on. Get a nexus one instead.

I am from Europe and this is only for the US?
 
Well I'm not sure which Android phone will work for you in Europe but if you're looking for a dependable phone, then skip out on the milestone.
 
It doesn't have a physical keyboard but with swype it would still be a very solid choice. The htc desire has better specs than the milestone by far, I believe there is a rather simple rooting method and htc usually stands by the build quality of their phones. This phone is available in europe I think!
Enjoy! Let us know what you end up getting. Anything but the milestone, I have a motorola devour and I'm frustrated with motorolas inability to update their phones unless its the droid. Where is the love moto!!

Well, I need a phone with a qwerty keyboard because I am visually impaired and have difficulties typing on an onscreen keyboard.
