need help trying uninstall thc sync

how can i uninstall my htc to sync so i can root my phone im having trouble with this

You mean uninstall the HTC sync? On a pc, uninstall it just like you would any other program. Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, and click HTC Sync and uninstall it.

beacuse i was going to root my phone and i noticed it said remove htc sync before you begin to root your phone, was it talking about removing it from the pc not the phone right

Yes, that's what it means. You need it gone from the PC so that you can install the hboot-capable drivers (if you're using unrevoked).
