Need opinions. do you think snapdragon 845 is better choice over SD 710 for gaming?

so.. SD 845 might be the obvious answer, but the thing is: after watching reviews for SD 845 phones, it seem this chip heats can reach 50 degrees after hours of gaming even with cooling system. another reason is qualcomm promises that the new 700 series will have almost flagship performances. do you think there will be noticeable differences and gaming? maybe FPS? and finally i have an impression for SOC's that newer is better even it its on lower series category and lower specs on paper. do you think there or some things better on 710 other than lower price? thank you for answer. i actually thinking whether to by Xiaomi mi 8 or its 8 SE version.

Think of it this way: Getting a 700 series is like getting a flagship from 2016, since 600 series have performance comparable to flagships from 2015. It can game sure, there probably won't be any issue except not getting full possible performance.
