Need phone suggestion/advice

So due to the recent Verizon announcement, should I pull the trigger and sign a two-year contract now, and get the Nexus or the Razr Maxx, or wait and hope the Razr Maxx HD comes out? If you say pull the trigger now, do I get the Nexus or the Maxx? I want battery life of the Maxx , but love the aesthetics, screen, ICS of the Nexus. I've heard awful things about the antenna of the Nexus too. The screen is just so amazing. I appreciate any suggestions in advance!

if you decided now I would say go for the maxx. I have the nexus now and although its awesome I can't stand not having consistent 4g,waking my phone and waiting a minute before a data connection is received, loss of signal indoors,...... with the razr ( or any other 4g phone I've owned ) I haven't had any issues ... at least not as severe as to make me almost hate the phone. I always had a good 4g connection and although there were drops, they weren't many and not enough to interfere with my use.

Afaik, we don't know exactly what Verizon is actually going to do so I can't suggest anything about waiting or not.

Edit: this is the second nexus I've owned and have experienced these issues both on stock and rooted and rom'd in too many combinations of rom-kernel-radio to count.

I can't speak as I have neither, but am in a similar boat. I want to upgrade before the changes take effect, but I'm going to wait and see if I can get the Galaxy S III. There's no harm in waiting as it sounds like VZW will announce when the changes take effect. As long as they do that, you'll have notice and see what all is available to choose from.

This boat is getting full! I'm waiting on either the MaxxHD or the SGS3. If they don't arrive before the share plans do, I'll either get the Maxx or by a used Bionic then pay full price for either of the two listed or wait for the quad cores in Q4 and pay full price for those. But hopefully, the grandfather threat may go away.
