need quick help

I have had the unlimited data plan way before verizon got rid of it so i still have it

Now that we have ics my question is is tethering free? My damn internet at home is down so id love to usb tether but want to make sure there wont be a hidden charge

USB tethering has been free since at least the Bionic was released. The wifi tethering is not free on unlimited data, it is an option you have to pay for. If you want to use wifi tethering for only a couple of days you can add and remove that feature right from your phone anytime you want using Verizon mobile app. It is also billed on a prorated rate at $30 a month or ruffly a $1 a day.
