it doesnt seem like people here are too keen on helping man, so i'll tell you what i did. i was in the same position as you a few days ago.
from your phone, google "universal androot." its supposed to be in the market, but i couldnt find it...but that may have been because i didnt have "unknown sources" enabled in application settings. anyway, google it, and you'll find several sites where you can download it. download it, and then open when prompted.
universal androot will open up, and from there its straight forward. press the button for "root," wait a few seconds, and voila...you have a rooted device.
