i am using Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and my phone fell down on the ground and its display is damabed. i am able to hear the sound from my mobile but there is nothing coming up on the display. i have my contacts , applications and my files i.e photos and videos. can someone please tell me if there is any way that i can import them to my computer or my other phone i.e Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

any help here will be appreciated. i am able to connect my broken phone to my computer but it is not showing any files when i access my phone

Would you normally have to do anything on the phone to access files over USB, e.g. select a particular type of connection? If so and you know where on the screen the button would be it might be worth trying, in case the digitiser is still working.

Contacts are not stored in a location that is accessible over USB, but if you sync them with Google they are backed up to your Gmail account. Much trickier if you saved them as "phone only" and haven't made any other backup.

I guess you saved photos and videos to internal storage rather than the removable sd card, because otherwise they would be simple. If you aren't sure it's worth checking the card (in card reader or your other phone).

Apps and app data again live in an area that is not accessible to you without root, so again you'd not be able to access them over USB anyway.

If USB debugging was already turned on we'll have more options, but you won't be able to turn it on without the screen.
