Need to remove widget when switch home launcher

Hi if I switch home launcher say from go launcher to launcher pro, is it necessary to remove widgets? I have news and weather widget in both launchers.
I want to know whether widgets from other launcher (launcher not running)are stil running/taking memory even if I am using only one launcher??

No, you don't need to remove the widgets. The phone handles only one launcher and the associated widgets at a time.
