Help Need to set new tab as default in Chrome search engine

Bob Hawkins

Newbie
Following my problem with "Your connection is not private", asked in a previous post this afternoon, opening Chrome displays chrome://history now instead of opening Google's search page as a new tab. How can I revert it?

In chrome go to settings, there look for 'home page' option, enable it and choose your desired website as the home page. Now, when you open your browser after closing all the tabs, the desired site will open

The home page does not present itself as an option anywhere so far as I see. I wonder if checking the box against "Request desktop site" might offer something of a solution, perhaps?

Tap the three dot menu button top right, scroll down to 'Settings' tap on it and you should see 'Homepage', tap on it then tap the address to edit it.
