I just got a text from NET10 telling me my data would be limited to 1.5GB per month on an AT&T SIM per 30 days as of March 1, 2013. It had the following link explaining and confirming the change.

T-Mobile SIM cards are not affected by this change. NET10 is offering free T-Mobile SIM cards to customers who wish to switch.

i am not surprised that this has happened after they started selling and allowing the i-phone onto the service. Those phones, especially using siri, are known and proven bandwidth hogs. So the apple geeks end up spoiling it for the rest of us who use android.
they sell via straight talk, but allow others on via the byop program.

Worst part is it's a hard cap, which I think should be illegal as you may "need" a bit of data in an emergency. Why can't i buy an extra GB ? I am either getting my European buddies to figure out how to hack it or i am back to better-sounding CDMA. Bad move net10 ! T-Mobile is great- if you have service which is rare.
