Netbook

I got my netbook but seem to have a problem connecting with the wifi. It works great in the office but as soon as I leave the room I loose my signal. Computer store was no help what so ever. Anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it?

what netbook? does it run Android? what brand and model is it? Also when you leave the room are you still in a wifi area?

Is the wifi router in the office? Do you know what the office walls are constructed from? Steel reinforced concrete or metal foil lined plasterboard perhaps, because things like that can be rather opaque to wifi.
