Netflix and Prime Video download quality

Hi

Just got my first Android device (Honor 8X) and I've noticed that the download quality for both Netflix and Amazon Prime is lower than on my Fire HD and Iphone 6. For example, on the Honor, a movie was 1 GB when on the Fire it was 2 GB. Both devices were set to "high".

For Prime Video, the information on the average file size changes by device. For example, "Best" on the Fire "uses about 1.82 GB" whereas on the Honor it's 0.46 GB (the iphone is 0.9).

Can anyone tell me why this is? Is it because it's an Android phone, or might the issue be with the Honor?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
