Netflix / Crackle and my Data Plan

I have a 2gb data plan with AT&T. I'm considering downloading either Crackle or Netflix (I don't have a paid membership yet to Netflix). I'm assuming they both stream movies on both wifi and 3g (4g). By using wifi, it doesn't use any of my data plan, correct? But 3g, 4g would?
 
Correct wifi does not use your data plan. And if you are using the mobile network (3 or 4g) that will use your data plan

Not sure what phone you have but there are only a few android phones that netflix has allowed to stream movies. They are slowly working on allowing others. I know there was a hacked version of netflix I tried it but still wouldn't allow me to stream on my inspire.
 
I have the Atrix and I use HBO Go. It works really well over 3G and Wifi. For a two hrs movie, its about 1 GB of data. It will drain your battery fast too. From a fully charged battery of 100% to about 40% on a 2 hrs 15 min. movie.
 
I use hbo go as well only down sid is having to get the tv based subscription in order to view it. I would gladly get a mobile subscription since I'm rarely able to actually watch a tv

That's true. Think about it though, with Netflix, you have to pay a monthly subscription as well. (I have Netflix too) With Netflix and HBO GO, you can stream on a mobil device, laptop, computer and netbook. With Netflix, in order to see on your TV, you will have to have an internet capibility TV or use one of the game consoles. With HBO GO, you need a satilite subcription and can watch on more then one TV, in your house. HBO GO has more up to date movies and TV shows to watch on demand. Netfilx you have a bigger library of movies, TV shows, cartoons etc. to choose from on demand. So, it really is a win win situation with both or either.

So obviously if you don't have an HBO subscription (I rent out a room and my roomies don't get HBO) the best bet would be to get Netflix since I can get the subscription myself and watch it on my phone AND laptop. I have a playstation 2 which I'm using to watch DVD's on my tv. Can I use that for the Netflix DVD deal? Thanks for the info btw.

Yeah I have netflix too but atleast netflix offers an instant watch only account which costs less. So it would be nice if hbo did the same thing.
I know you need a game console or netflix enabled dvd player in each room and as lucky as my husband is we have a ps3 in each room with a tv. We got hbo cause he needed to watch true blood, hbo go is just a nice side benefit.
