Netflix not streaming on LTE

I just upgraded (???) to the HTC One M9 from the M7. Same carrier (Sprint) my problem is that I don't appear to be able to stream Netflix over the LTE signal on the M9. The stream over Wi-Fi only box is unchecked, however it will only allow stream while connected to Wi-Fi. Any suggestions???

After 2 hours of phone calls and almost 3 hours in the store and another brand new M9 they informed me that it is due to an update on the HTC Phone that is to prevent a hack and had this side effect. It appears that it is affecting Netflix and Pandora streaming and preventing browsing to several websites (Google and Sprint.com in particular).

Wow. :(

Did they say when they were going to try and fix it?

The tech said he thought it would be within a week or 2. Seems a bit long to me. I just wish I knew who to be mad at, Sprint or HTC!!!
If Sprint included their EPST menu in the M9 (I think that they've taken to hiding it from consumers), accessible by dialing ##DATA#, View, Advanced, and you can see the Sprint proxies for http, then it's Sprint's fault.

Even if you can't see it, it's almost certainly their fault, as confirmed by it being ok on T-Mobile.

Years ago I had a thread here called Streaming media and the Tyrrany of the Sprint Proxies -

They've screwed up media streaming before so draw your own conclusions.

And make sure that Connections Optimizer (Sprint only "feature") is turned off.

That is very strange. I am currently streaming Netflix over LTE on Sprint (HTC M9). We need more information. What results are you getting on speedtest? What is your average dBm (LTE) signal strength - dBm meter-Google Play

Where do you live- Sprint is rolling out massive LTE updates and it is causing degraded service as some towers are taken down for upgrades
