Help Network Droppped Because Automatic Registration .. Help

Help I recived a LG Optimus 2X Android 2.2.2 phone .. I have gotten the phone unlocked but I'm having troubles staying connected to my carriers network .. I put in my Sims card go to settings > networks > search available networks connect and regester my network .. but then for reason unknown to me the phone will disconnect from my carrier and automatically connect to Rogers wireless as the network within the first minute or two .. dose anyone know why this is happeneing and or how to stop it .. I have tried looking for some kind of setting to maybe turn it off but can't find anything .. I am trying to figure out all the backdoor and inner workings of androids but with so much info out there I am sooo lost .. Please help

Yes it was used on Rogers .. I took the phone to a mobel store to get it unlocked so I would hope they did it and did it right (a Fido screen comes up now on restart instead of Rogers so I am assuming its unlocked) .. I don't think its rooted it was my sister that had it befoe me and she knows even less then I do about all this stuff .. Help please
 
Try contacting your service provider. Maybe they can figure out why the phone will not stay registered on their network.
 
The sim card will authenticate the device on the network, but the APN (Access Point Name) will determine the data connection. My guess is your APN is still looking at Rogers. You need to contact Fido to find out what the correct settings should be.

I have just got off the phone with Fido .. they were no help .. tech support said that unless I was a Rogers, or Fido customer that they are unable to give me any help service (something about liability) .. what jerks :(

Opps sorry I guess I should of said that .. my carrier is Wind Mobel .. and yes they do support the phone I took it into one of there stores and they checked it for me .. I would just take the phone back in now that its unlocked but at least around here most if the people that work in there stores are just sales people no real support people

I checked out the link (btw ty for finding that for me :) ) .. but once I select access point names it shows me the 2 listed (Fido Internet > fido-core-appl1.apn) and (Internet Thethering > ISP.fido.apn) if I click on ether one it shows me all the info but wont allow me to delete anything :( .. I was able to add Wind and now I don't have to search for it but it now just drops me after I call or text
