Help Network Issues

Lurker
I jsut got the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic and I was walking into work this morning and the internet bar at the top has circle with a line across it.

I have looked under Settings,Wireless and Network,Mobile Networks and it shows that it is enabled.

Is there another setting that could prevent my internet from working on this new phone?

While you were in settings> mobile networks> network operaters did you click on automatically select preferred network and let it scan for the service?
Is wifi disabled?
Data packet enabled?
Try rebooting also. I have to reboot about once a week it seems like to get mine to re-connect after losing connection for whatever reason.
Just a suggestion.

Under the Mobile Network Settings it only has 1 option "3g Data" and I have unselected it and selected it and still nothing. I have rebooted several times and still nothing. Also, WIFI is disabled.

No network operator settings?
That's weird. My S2 is Hercules, I thought very close to the Epic.
I wonder why you don't have the option to scan/select all available networks, default/manual network settings, select 3 or 4g or auto, and a few other options.
I'm sorry I can't help you. I guess contact your carrier.
Good Luck.

That is the classic los (loss of signal) sign. Could be anything from a network issue to a provisioning issue. Have you tried updating prl and profile under settings > about phone > system updates? While under about phone look and see what build number you are on as well. It should say el29. On earlier builds los was a huge issue.
