Network problem for Chinese android smart phone in India

I bought a Chinese android smartphone inew i3000) from china. It works in Nigeria, UK, Middle East. But it is not working in India. It detects the SIM card but does not show any signals. Same is the case with 3 different phones. Any solutions?
