Hello, im new to android, have chosen ZTE BLADE as my first smartphone and i was wondering, i wanna root it/install CM7 using the TPT method found on this site wiki.cyanogenmod.com (it wont let me link you to the site ugh) but on android.modaco.com theres another guide which says that i "MUST NETWORK UNLOCK YOUR PHONE BEFORE INSTALLING" otherwise i can brick my phone. is it true? the TPT guide on modaco was written a year ago so idk maybe its outdated now and i dont actually have to do that unlock thing?
