This is at least the second time it's happened. How does storage location get switched from sd to phone, and how do I keep it from occurring? I want it to be permanently sd.

Hi, it's a ZTE Fanfare 2 from Cricket. I think it's 6.0.1. Ideally, it would be storage for everything but realistically, it's probably just photos and videos, maybe music. In settings there is a part about storage and it shows save location as either phone or sd. The phone has only 8 gb and the sd is 32, the highest it can handle. I guess.it's not too bad for a phone that cost about $27, not counting tax, and includes a squishy rubbery case.
